2022 Ford F-150 Trims: Everything you need to know

2022 Ford F-150 Trims: Everything you need to know

The 2022 Ford F-150 is launching in the spring of 2022. It’ll have a wide range of trims and body styles with several types of engines.

The engines available in the 2022 Ford F-150 are:

  • 290-hp 3.3L V-6
  • 400-hp 5L V-8
  • 325-hp twin-turbocharged 2.7L V-6
  • 400-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5L V-6
  • 250-hp 3L diesel V-6

All of the engines come with a 10-speed automatic and a hybrid powertrain. The F-150 will also have several different trims to elevate the model. Let’s take a closer look at them.

Lariat

Lariat

The Lariat has eight different styles with varied prices and features. The SuperBox has four types, and the SuperCrew also has four types. The price ranges from $59,258 for the 2WD SuperBox to $68,469 for the 2WD SuperCrew 6.5. While the SuperBox variations use gasoline, the SuperCrew models are electric/gas hybrids.

XLT

XLT

The XLT offers even more style variations, adding to the four variations for each of XLT SuperBox and SuperCrew. They also have four styles of XLT Reg-Cab, which come with a 290-hp 3.3L V-6 cylinder engine with flex-fuel capability.

For the XLT variations, the price ranges from $46,540 to $51,273. As for the XLT SuperBox and SuperCrew, the price ranges between $50,123 to $60,821.

Platinum

Platinum

The Platinum trim offers four variations of the SuperCrew, all using a 430-hp 3.5L V-6 cylinder engine with gas/electric hybrid. They all perform at 18 combined MPG. The SuperCrew 6.5’ and 5.5’ have one variation, each with RWD and FWD Drivetrain. The starting price ranges from $76,093 to $80,826.

Sports Pack #1

The Sport Appearance Package is an additional improvement on the vehicle’s body style that comes with some trims. For the 2022 editions, Ford included the sport packs only for the Lariat and the XLT.

The packs include a gloss-painted wheel pocket with the angular step bars’ colour accented. The grille has a dark surrounding and black accents. The packs also change the exterior body, giving uniform colour to the bumpers. On the XLT Sports Pack, the outer door and tailgate handles are painted with the vehicle’s body colour, and there is a single exhaust tip chrome and a “SPORT” decal sticker.

Bottom Line

Car trimmings are something that matters. Knowing the trim details and pricing will help you plan your next car to fit your needs. Overall, Ford F-150 is a good car suited to get any job done.
